"Fire and I've Seen Rain" Lyrics

"Just yesterday morning time, they let me know y'all were gone.
Susanne, the plans they made put an terminate to you.
I walked out this morning time, and I wrote downwards this song,
I just can't call back who to send it to.

I've seen burn down and I've seen rain;
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never cease;
I've seen alone times when I could not find a friend,
Simply I always thought that I'd see yous again.

Won't you look down upon me, Jesus;
You've got to help me make a stand up,;
Y'all've just got to run across me through some other 24-hour interval.
My trunk's aching and my time is at hand,
And I won't arrive whatever other way.

Oh, I've seen fire, and I've seen rain;
I've seen sunny days that I idea would never finish;
I've seen alone times when I could not find a friend,
Merely I always idea that I'd run across you once more.

Been walking my mind to an easy fourth dimension, my dorsum turned towards the sunday;
Lord knows, when the cold air current blows information technology'll turn your head around.
Well, in that location's hours of fourth dimension on the phone line to talk well-nigh things to come up;
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground.

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen pelting;
I've seen sunny days that I idea would never stop;
I've seen lonely times when I could not discover a friend,
But I always thought that I'd see you, baby, 1 more fourth dimension again, now.

Idea I'd see yous one more time once more;
There's simply a few things coming my way this time around, at present;
Thought I'd see you lot, idea I'd see you fire and rain, now."

Life is similar a roller coaster, with many ups and downs, scary at times, exhilarating, and sometimes merely plain annoying.

Hi A_M, cheers for that explanation. I had no thought he wrote the verses so far apart. I just finished a song I started many years ago, so I do understand how that happens. I read once that when he heard people say that his songs all sounded the aforementioned that he was surprised. He said he works to vary his songs and structure of the music simply that he just has a narrow lens they all come out of so it simply sounds like that.

I agree with him, his songs are not equally piece of cake to play as you might think if y'all really play them every bit he does. That's a chip of genius at that place. =:)
